Clinical analysis of Oxytocin combined with Calcium preparation and Misoprostol for preventing and treating postpartum hemorrhage

Objective To study clinical effect of Oxytocin combined with Calcium preparation and Misoprostol for preventing and treating postpartum hemorrhage. Methods Three hundreds parturients with spontaneous delivery were divided into study group(n=150) and control group randomly(n=150). Parturients in study group were administered Calcium preparation with intravenously guttae after cervical orifice opening completely and 20u Oxytocin with intramuscular injection,then Misoprostol put in the anus after placental expulsion. The other 150 cases in control group were only given 20u Oxytocin. Results The difference was significant(P0.05) on the volume of postpartum hemorrhage of cases in 2-hour and 24-hour and postpartum bleeding rate between two groups. Conclusion Oxytocin combined with Calcium preparation and Misoprostol could reduce postpartum hemorrhage so that the method was worth wide clinical application.
