ANALYSIS OF MONITORING RESULTS OF AIDS SENTINEL POINT AMONG DRUG USERS IN NANCHANG

[Objective] To find out the Knowledge in drug users about AIDS in Nanchang,monitor their behavior about AIDS,and analyze its influencing for AIDS.[Methods] The comprehensive sentinel data of investigating in drug users in Nan-chang in 2007 was used.(A total of 800 drug users were selected in drug users.The demographic characteristics,manner and frequency of drug use,drug abuse time,sharing of syringes,sexual behavior and condom use were investigated).[Results] The minimum age of those 800 respondents with the first drug use year of 15-year-old,the maximum was 49 years old,and mean age was(25 ± 22)years old,30 years old;The minimum age when the initial intravenous drug use was 15-year-old,the maximum was 50 years old,and mean age was(29 ± 25),33 years old.There were 261 cases of syringe sharing.36.1% of those 800 respondents used condoms consistently in sex life.13.0% of those 800 respondents never used condoms in sex life.[Conclusion] Prevention workers should strengthen publicity and education activities so that young people stay away from drugs,reduce sharing syringes in drug users so that lighten the risk,and we should enhance the uses of condoms.
