Study on the compliance relationship of point normal Impact with plate

It presents a study on the normal impact of elastic,elastic perfectly plastic and power law strain harden material steel spheres with a rigid plane using 2d axisymmetric finite element methods.The factors affecting the compliance relationship are analyzed.The FEA results show that the dissipation of kinetic energy can be attributed mainly to the plastic deformation.The available references to mutibody dynamics are given with the studying results.
