Optimization of the components of modified fly ash matrix for Lolium perenne.

2009
In this study, raw fly ash was used with gravel, sludge, crop straw and phosphorus slag to develop modified fly ash matrix as artificial soil for L.perenne.After planting L.perenne.in it for 10 months, plant height, average root number, average root length, and root-shoot ratio were investigated to guide the optimization of the components of the matrix by using uniform design.Treated experimental data with the quadratic polynomial stepwise regression analysis and the multi-objective optimization method, results show that sludge has both positive effect on the plant height and negative effect on the average root number and the average root length.Gravel obviously retrains plant root-shoot ratio.Gravel with crop straw or with phosphorus slag can significantly retrain the plant height or root-shoot ratio respectively. And the latter combination can also promote root number.Crop straw cooperating with phosphorus slag can accelerate average root length, with sludge can raise root-shoot ratio. The formula optimization could be established in this study with the amount of raw fly ash, gravel, sludge, crop straw, and phosphorus slag which are 800.00 g,360.00 g,30.00 g,32.84 g,and 150.00 g respectively.
