Abstract Hydrogen bonding (HB) in the charge transfer (CT) complexes of substituted TTFs with hydroxymethyl (CH 2 OH) groups plays a crucial role in determining the uniformity of the molecular structure of the donor, charge distribution among the donors, and electrical conductivity of the crystal.
