29. My Daughter’s Golden Hair – What A Waste!

When Mai, the daughter of the writer, jumped, her golden hair jumped up and down. On her chest was hung a broach made from a slice of a zelkova tree with some words on it. She looked offended with her golden hair bundled with a rubber band. This style was exactly that of those juvenile delinquents who frequent Shibuya, one of the busiest parts of Tokyo. The writer feared that the golden hair and sunburnt face may make some people think that she was a delinquent. The daughter expressed discontent for the writer's opinion. The daughter spent all the holidays and her time after school involved in her club activities. Her made-up face still retained some childish features.
