A Modified Protocol for the Generation of Transgenic Mice and Freezing of Mouse Embryos

The generation of transgenic mice has become routine in many laboratories, and the procedures for microinjection of fertilized mouse eggs are well described in Hogan et al. (1986). Therefore, here we will only mention steps which deviate from those widely described. We have, over the years, simplified several steps, and consider it worthwhile to document this procedure.
