Paediatric pelvic ring injuries

2018
Abstract Paediatric pelvic ring fractures are rare and usually occur in the context of high-energy trauma with associated extra-pelvic injuries. The majority are generally treated non-operatively however there is a paucity of evidence in the literature as to their management and long-term outcomes. There can be significant morbidity associated with these injuries. This review article aims to outline the principles of assessment and management of these complex injuries.
