THE SUSTAINABILITY IN THE SELECTION OF DAM BODY TYPE

An important part of the economy based on agriculture which for our country,dams have a great importance.Determining the dam body type,there are many factors;such as;the cost,topographic and jeologic conditions of the land,the region's socio-economic structure and water policies for the future of the region. In thys study,under the Gap Batman-Silvan Project Planning Report,based on Karacakaya Dam,the affects of dam's environmental impacts,the eligibility of geology and natural building materials and the affects of the cost comparysons for body type selection, have been investigated.
