Production of noninfectious structure particle containing surface antigen protein of virus belonging to family flavivirus

PURPOSE: To provide a process for the mass-production of live Japanese encephalitis vaccine. CONSTITUTION: A cell infected with a virus belonging to the family Flavivirus is infected with a recombinant vaccinia virus integrated with a cDNA coding essentially total prM(M) protein originated from a virus of the family Flavivirus and coding essentially total surface antigen protein.
