The present invention relates to compounds containing a terminal group D containing at least one electron donating functional d; a terminal group A comprising at least one functional electron acceptor group a and a bridging unit B that connects D to A containing a backbone of conjugated double bonds for a charge transfer from D to A characterized in that the compound has a hetero atom-containing methylidene (= methine) - contains group -CH = HETA with Heta selected from the group consisting of N, P. Further, the invention provides the synthesis and use of these compounds is concerned.
