Foot sensory test and nursing countermeasures of elder patients with diabetes

Objective:To discuss the foot feeling sensitive situation of elderly patients with diabetes,and propose clinical nursing countermeasures.Methods:42 patients with diabetes were distributed into study group and 40 patients without diabetes were distributed into control group.To make all the cases sitting on the bed and taking off shoes and socks with two feet placed on the footstool.Separately testing the feet touch,temperature feeling,joint position sense,vibration sense,pain and pressure feeling.Results:The non-feeling rate of study group was higher than control group(P0.05).Conclusion:Foot feeling of elderly patients with diabetes was significantly smaller than non-diabetic patients.Nurses need to instruct patients to do the foot feeling by themselves,and according to test results with targeted foot injury prevention and routine care,in order to promote the retention of foot function,delay the occurrence of foot complications.
