PREPARATION, ELECTRICAL CONDUCTIVITY AND STRUCTURE OF NEW CONDUCTORS BASED ON UNSYMMETRICAL DONOR MOLECULES CONTAINING A TRIMETHYLENE GROUP AND ADDITIONAL SELENIUM ATOMS

The synthesis of new unsymmetrical π - electron donors by a Wittig- type condensation followed by a selenolate protection-deprotection process is described. The redox power of these donors is studied. The electrical conductivity of their radical cation salts and charge transfer complexes is presented. From X-ray study, the crystal structure of both a radical cation salt and a charge transfer complex with tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) as an acceptor, is depicted. RESUME: La synthese de nouveaux donneurs d'electrons-π dissymetriques par condensation de type Wittig suivie par un processus de protection-deprotection de selenolates est decrite. Le pouvoir redox de ces donneurs est etudie. La conductivite electrique de leur sels de cations radicaux et complexes de transfert de charge est presentee. A partir de l'etude aux rayons-X, la structure crystalline des sel de cation radical et complexe de transfert de charge, avec le tetracyanoquinodimethane (TCNQ) comme accepteur, est montree.
