Induction of protection against viral infection

This invention relates to monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies having neutralizing properties regarding the infection by a determined virus, obtained after administration to a host, in an amount sufficient to induce neutralizing antibodies, of a composition comprising as a combined preparation for simultaneous, separate or sequential administration: (A) at least one envelope glycoprotein of said virus or a fragment of at least 50 aminoacids of the glycoprotein and, (B) at least one peptide derived from the aminoacid sequence of the envelope glycoprotein, and wherein the peptide comprises at least one virus-neutralization epitope. The invention further relates to the use of these antibodies as serotherapeutic drug.
