Charge fluctuations in an extended periodic Anderson model

2007
Abstract We investigate the electronic state in an extended periodic Anderson model with the dynamical mean field theory (DMFT) and the fluctuation exchange (FLEX) approximation. It is found that the valence fluctuations are enhanced by the repulsive interaction U cf between an f-electron and a conduction electron in agreement with previous studies. We also observe rapid development of the staggered component of charge susceptibility at low temperatures in addition to the enhancement of spin fluctuation. Thus, it is possible that the superconductivity is mediated by the charge density wave (CDW) fluctuations in the present model.
