Delayed start of the sampling interval in the measurement of triggered counting distributions
1990
Two procedures are usually followed in the measurement of triggered counting distributions; the main difference between the two methods lies in the way in which the triggering pulse that starts the sampling interval is selected. Both procedures, however, are inefficient and require relatively long acquisition times. In this paper, we describe a new method, based on the delayed start of the sampling interval, that considerably improves the acquisition rate without introducing a new bias.
