Streifenförmige Nagelverfährbung unter Lamivudine (3TC)

1995
We report on a 38 year old female patient of african anchestry, who developed longitudinally striated discoloration of her finger nails four weeks after treatment with lamivudine (3TC) was started. The drug was administered for the treatment of an infection with the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) ; the daily dose was 300 mg. We were able to see the streaks disappearing after the drug was stopped and reappearing on rechallenge.
