Radiological Health Protection Issues Associated with Use of Active Detection Technology Systems for Detection of Radioactive Threat Materials

Abstract : Commentary from the National Council on Radiation Protection and Measurements (NCRP) Scientific Committee 1-19. NCRP was asked to provide a review of health protection and safety issues specifically for the use of active detection technology security systems. It addresses important factors in the design and testing of ADT systems that must be given attention prior to their deployment.
