Variation of Land Ecosystem Service Function Value from 1996 to 2005 in Jilin Province

2010
Based on the survey data of land-use change in Jilin Province from 1996 to 2005 and the administrative division map of the province, this paper estimates the value of various ecosystem services and analyzes their spatial distribution characteristics, by referring to China terrestrial ecosystem service function unit area value scale and using Costanza method and XIE Gao-di Model. The results show that the value of ecosystem services of land in Jilin Province between 1996 and 2005 increased 568.4258 million yuan, the main reason of which was the growth of woodland and water bodies, particularly the growth of woodland, and that the decline of the arable land, grassland and wetland value of ecosystem services function was responsible for the reduction of the value of ecosystem services. In terms of spatial distribution, counties and cities under Changchun City had a negative growth, while in the other cities and counties there was a distribution of discrete, without obvious geographic clustering features. The seven regional cities in Jilin Province took on a negative growth, presenting a certain degree of relevance between land changes in the value of ecosystem services and socio-economic level of development.
