Reduction of Eu 3+ to Eu 2+ in oxyfluoride alumino-borosilicate glasses and glass ceramics prepared in air

Eu 2 O 3 doped oxyfluoride alumino-borosilicate glasses and glass ceramics were prepared in air by melting-quenching and thermal treatment process. The Reduction of Eu 3+ to Eu 2+ was observed in the samples.
