Understand the services sector, as it appeared, its characteristics, particularities, and the concept of service is an important factor to look for the way of more appropriate management and possible to measure and evaluate the service provided. Thus this paper aims to examine ways of evaluation and performance measurement in higher education, through the cutout made in a campus outside of headquarters of a Federal University in Minas Gerais. The analysis of the forms of evaluation was made using the information of three instruments: The Institutional Development Plan (IDP), the management indicators and efficiency indicators and the course evaluation instrument. To understand the perception of the actors involved in the teaching process, an interview with course evaluators and the application of a questionnaire to students and teachers was made, constituting an applied research, qualitative and exploratory. Thus it was possible to understand what criteria deemed most important by these actors, what are the relationships between these three instruments, and the PDI's goals include the indicators that are considered influential to the quality of education.
