Analysis on Serum Pepsinogen and Helicobacter Pylori IgG in the Residents of Changle City,Fujian

2009
[Objective] To analyze the serum concentrations of pepsinogen(PG) and helicobacter pylori(Hp) IgG in the residents of Changle city,Fujian, and analyze the characteristics of the distribution and the related factors.[Methods] The serum concentrations of PGⅠ,PGⅡ and Hp IgG were determined by using ELISA method.[Results] The median of PGⅠ,PGⅡ and PGⅠ/Ⅱ were 110.8 μg/L,13.9 μg/L and 7.9 respectively, and they were not significantly different between male and female or among age groups. The positive rate of Hp infection was 49.6%.The PGⅡ concentration of Hp infection(median=15.8 μg/L) was significantly higher than that without Hp infection(median=11.6 μg/L,P0.01),but the ratio of PGⅠ/Ⅱ(7.3) was significantly lower than that of the latter(8.5,P=0.023).[Conclusion] The serum concentrations of PG in the residents of Changle city show skew distribution, and they are related with Hp infection. It is necessary to perform further studies in order to confirm whether the concentrations of PG are affected by gender and age or not.
