Influence of cutting tool blade passivation on cutting force and surface roughness

There were few researches about the influence of cutting tool passivation on cutting force and parts surface roughness by now.Through single factor comparative test,changes of cutting force and parts surface roughness which brought by cutting tool passivation under different cutting force parameter was tested respectively.Results showed that with the increase of cutting speed,the cutting forces increased after cutting tool blade passivation,force increased obviously in FX,FZ direction;as radial and axial cutting depth increased,cutting force also increased with FZ force increased dramatically.The surface roughness was obviously reduced with the cutting speed,the cutting depth of radial or axial increased,and the quality of workpieces surface was improved.
