Evaluation of material models for reinforced concrete structures

Abstract Capabilities of the concrete material model in ADINA are briefly summarized. The objective in this work was to evaluate the concrete model and make necessary enhancements to improve the nonlinear concrete analysis capabilities. The results of various sample analyses are given to demonstrate validity of the improved concrete model. These analyses involve small-scale cylinder tests as well as larger reinforced and prestressed concrete structures.
