This may be ated to localized extrinsic compression of a large airway ajor vascular structure. 1 The anesthetic technique depends o he type of congenital heart disease and the lesions of tra ronchial compression. Although some reports have descri urgical treatment of pulmonary atresia in infants with p uctus arteriosus (PDA) compressing the bronchus, 2-4 less is nown about the usefulness of flexible bronchoscopic ass ent and the administration of lipoprostaglandin E 1 to these atients in the perioperative period.
