Propuesta de un modelo de gestión de conocimiento colaborativo en la Universidad de Panamá: caso de estudio Facultad de Informática, Electrónica y Comunicación

This article is part of the proposal of a Collaborative Knowledge Management Model that allows the personnel of the University of Panama through its diverse administrative and academic units to have the opportune information for decision making, allowing the knowledge to be accessible to the people that really require it. The methodology used is exploratory and qualitative, which includes a review of the existing documentation, as well as the implementation of techniques such as interviews, surveys and subsequent analysis; for the design of the model includes a review phase of similar projects in various countries, assessment of the current situation of the University of Panama and the Faculty of Information Technology, Electronics and Communication in terms of knowledge management; surveys were conducted to administrative, professors and students of the faculty. With the collected information it was possible to create conceptual maps of the current situation of this faculty at an administrative, academic, cultural / sporting level and of varied topics, with which the situations that were given in each area were categorized. Finally, with these results, the Collaborative Knowledge Management Model is designed, which will allow considering all the information generated by the academic and administrative units of the faculty, the information and communication technologies necessary for its optimal functioning.
