Game system for consumer devices exchange data over interface with admission control and methods for admission control

The invention relates to a games system for terminal units with exchange of games via interfaces with access control. Said terminal units (6, 8, 14, 18) are equipped with display and memory devices. Game programmes and game data are stored in a memory of a central computer (2) and the terminal units are connected with said central computer via an interface. The stored game programmes and game data are read from the central memory for each terminal as needed and stored in the corresponding memory device. An evaluation and access control unit (4) is connected to the central computer (2) or memory via an interface and detects the game programmes and game data stored in the central memory. This unit also detects the read operations for storage in terminal units and controls same operations.
