Devils In The Making: Glasgow School of Art and the Collection

A collaborative work made with John Beagles titled ‘We Are The People – Suck On This’ (Originally commissioned by the ICA, London 2000 and then purchased for the GoMA collection with support from the Artfund in 2010) was shown in this group exhibition. This work is made up of a video, a signed copy of petition handed in to 10 Downing Street and a photograph. Devils in the Making: Glasgow School of Art and the Collection underlines the strong link between the Gallery of Modern Art (GoMA) and The Glasgow School of Art by focusing on the cultural significance of key works, mostly from Glasgow Museums' collection, made by artists who studied at The Glasgow School of Art (GSA). Other artists include Alex Frost, Martin Boyce, Douglas Gordon, Craig Mulholland, Claire Barclay, David Sherry, Ross Sinclair, James McLardy, Kenny Hunter, Nick Evans, Simon Starling, Jim Lambie, Roderick Buchanan, Toby Paterson, Torsten Lauschmann and Victoria Morton.
