On the Preservation of Monuments and Works of Art with Silicates
1971
Generally known consolidation processes with silicates are discussed, natural stones and their destruction are surveyed, and consolidation and treatment methods are investigated. The strength and weather resistance of the treated stones, mortar and earth are as a rule higher than they were originally. Developments in the field care of monuments are pointed out to be years ahead of present research. -- AATA
