Bakteriální biofilm a možnosti jeho eliminace

In the environment microorganisms can exist as planktonic cells or in the form of biofilm. The biofilm protects the cells against adverse effects (e.g. UV radiation, antimicrobial agents) or secures of genetic material exchange. The biofilm cells have better access to nutrients in comparison with planktonic form of cells. These microbial communities can cause problems in the food industry, in the clinical practice anf other areas. For this reason fight with biofilm formation is very important. This bachelor thesis concerns with the formation of bacterial biofilm a with the possibility of biofilm elimination.
