Counterimmunoelectrophoresis for detection of microbial antigens: increased sensitivity with dextran-containing gels.

1978
Abstract The addition of 4% dextran with a mean molecular weight of 70,000 to counterimmunoelectrophoresis gels enhanced the clarity of precipitin lines and increased the sensitivity of the procedure two- to fourfold with a variety of microbial antigens.
