Preparation of sintered shape and composition used therefor

1992
PURPOSE: To provide a preparing method of sintered shapes with relatively high sintered density, with small and uniform grain size and with relatively low porosity, and to provide a composition used therefor. CONSTITUTION: The preparing method of sintered shapes comprises the following steps (1) and (2): (1) a green body is formed from a mixture which comprises (A) at least one inorganic powder and (B) at least one polymer derived from the following (a) or (b), provided the mixture is substantially free of polysaccharide: (a) at least two sulfo monomers or (b) a combination of (i) at least one sulfo monomer with (ii) at least one comonomer selected from the following group: acrylic compounds; maleic acid, its anhydride or salt; vinyl lactams; vinyl pyrrolidones; and fumaric acid or its salt; (2) the body is sintered.
