New Scientific Relations in Europe at the End of World War I:The example ofmathematics through Frechet in Strasbourg andHostinsky in Brno

In this paper, we are concerned with the renewal of international relations between the French mathematical community and foreign countries after the end of WW1. More precisely, we concentrate on the example of exchanges between France and the newly appeared Czechoslovakia.
