Vinylation of Alcohols by 10-Vinylphenothiazine.

The mechanism of vinylation of alcohols by 10-vinylphenothiazine in the presence of organicπ-electron acceptors was investigated. The main vinylating species was the vinyl cation, the decay product of the 10-vinylphenothiazine radical cation.
