Reports of 8 cases with laparoscopic assisted distal gastrectomy

Objective:To introduce early experience of laparoscopic assisted distal gastrectomy for cancer, evaluate its feasibility and safety;Methods:Through the retrospective analysis of 8 cases of clinical data of laparoscopic assisted distal radical gastrectomy and outcome, and review the related literature.Results:D1+ or D2 lymph node dissection were performed in all 8 cases,The mean number of lymph node cleaning was 15.7 (range 10-21). ALL patients underwent digestive tract reconstruction,3 with type B-l,5 with type Roux-en-Y.Except for 1 case who had schistosomiasis cirrhosis with intraoperative injury of the left branch of the middle colic artery,the rest of the patients had no complications. All cases recover smoothly, rehabilitation hospital discharge.Conclusion:Safety of laparoscopic assisted distal gastric cancer radical gastectomy is feasible and promising.
