2020
Objective To explore the needs of emergency patients and medical disputes under the new situation, and to provide reference for creating a harmonious medical environment. Methods A total of 109 patients who were admitted to the emergency department of this hospital from May 2017 to May 2018 were selected as subjects. The patient's medical needs, the causes of medical disputes, and the patient's desire for improvement measures were statistically analyzed in the form of questionnaires. Results The CCFNI scores of family members of patients with different characteristics showed that women, lower educational level, poor economic status and no accompanying care experience were the factors leading to the increased demand for medical treatment(P<0.05). After investigating the patients' demands, the patients' demands for " the fastest and best treatment" and " providing adequate beds" were the highest, accounting for 100.0% and 90.8% respectively, while those for " providing adequate hot water and food supply" were the lowest, accounting for 72.5%.According to the investigation of medical disputes, the main factor causing medical disputes is " the ignorance of medical staff" , accounting for 57.7%." Violation of the system and risk awareness" caused the lowest proportion of medical disputes, only 11.5%.After surveying patients and their families' eagerness to improve measures, " strengthening communication, understanding the needs of patients and their families" and " strengthening the construction of medical ethics" were the most eager measures for patients to improve, accounting for 87.2% and 75.2% respectively. The proportion of " establishing emergency green channel" was the lowest, accounting for only 33.9%. Conclusions The biggest need for emergency patients is to get the fastest and best treatment in time, therefore, doctors should pay attention to the cultivation of professional quality, strengthen communication with patients and their families, and reduce the incidence of medical disputes.
