Magnetic susceptibility of Cr1-xNix solid solutions
1997
The Faraday method was used to study magnetic susceptibility of solid solutions of the Cr 1-x Ni x system (x = 0-0.01) in a temperature range of 4.2-320 K. In the X(T) curves, two types of anomalies similar to those observed in pure chromium were found at the Neel temperature and at the spin-flop transition point T sf A diagram of magnetic states of the system was constructed; its features are related to the formation of regions in the alloy that are enriched in or depleted of nickel in comparison with its average content in the solid solution.
