Semiconductor detectors in the dosimetry of ionizing radiation; Poluprovodnikovye detektory v dozimetrii ioniziruiushchikh izluchenii

1973
The semiconductor detectors widely used in the spectrometry of ionizing radiation are examined. The use of these detectors for the dosimetry of x and gamma radiation and the radiation of charged particle accelerators is very promising. The basic characteristics of semiconductor materials are given. The processes occuring in semiconductors under the effects of radiation are reported. The dosimetric characteristics of homogeneous and non-homogeneous semiconductor detectors are outlined, and the electronic diagrams and dosimeter circuits are described. (tr-auth)
