Electrolytic Isolation of the σ Phase from Heat-Resistant Steels and the Determination of its Composition

The conditions governing the formation of the σ phase and its effect on the properties of steels and alloys have never finally been elucidated. It is therefore extremely important to conduct further investigations into the development of methods of differential electrochemical analysis for steels and alloys containing the σ phase and also other phase constituents.
