Renovation of Absorbing Tower Demister of the Wet FGD System in 600 MW Unit and the Effect Analysis

The GGH device in the FGD(Flue Gas Desulfurization) system of Guangdong Jinghai Power Plant is often found clogged during operation.Based on an analysis of the leading cause of the congestion,this paper puts forward a specific rectification proposal,namely turning the original two-layer flat-plate demister into a set of two roof-type layers plus one tubular layer.The rectification made according to the proposal has resulted in good operation effects with significant energy-saving benefits.
