Behaviour of Presolubilized Sludge in Anaerobic Digestion

1995
The chemical solubilization of sewage sludge was studied with the use of lime at concentrations between 10 and 100 meq/L, achieving almost 20% of organic matter solubilization at the optimum level of around 50-60 meq/L lime. Afterward, the behaviour of this presolubilized sludge was studied in an anaerobic process and it was concluded that the process works efficiently at relatively high initial pH (8.2–8.4).
