SEBARAN HABITAT PERKEMBANGBIAKAN LARVA ANOPHELES SPP DI KECAMATAN BULA, KABUPATEN SERAM BAGIAN TIMUR, PROVINSI MALUKU Distribution of Anopheles spp larvae breeding places in Bula, Seram Bagian Timur District, Maluku Province

Indonesia is one of the country with highest transmission of malaria especially in eastern part of Indonesia, one of them is east Seram Bagian Timur district in Maluku Province. Malaria is infected by protozoa parasite genus Plasmodium that it was transmitted through Anopheles sp. The aim of study was to determine the character of breeding places habitat of Anopheles sp in Bula District, East part of Seram. WHO standart method Sampling was performed using WHO standard method for sampling in 10 times of the detections at any site in a body of water that it was took up by 4 collectors . The physical and biological aspect of body water were observed for characteristics of Anopheles sp larvae habitat. The result of study was found 6 types of Anopheles larvae i.e. An. farauti, An. punctulatus, An. subpictus, An. vagus, An. maculatus and An. indefinitus, wherewith 8 types of breeding places habitat. The breeding places habitats were located in temporary puddles, which were the tread of wheel of heavy vehicles, unused iron plates, waterpool in the flooded grass and damaged mangrove, in the other place, there was found in small ditches, small streams, ponds and springs.
