Two cases of hard tissue within the ovarian teratoma

1984
Benign ovarian teratomas are usually cystic lesions and make up a variety of different tissues, including epithelial appendages such as hair, sweat glands and teeth. The hard tissues in the ovarian teratoma were analyzed by the analytical electron microscope (SEM, XMA) and showed the peaks of calcium and phosphate. The microscopic findings of the case I and case II revealed the bone and tooth with the alveolar bone respectively.
