Experiences of Perioperative Nursing Strategy on the Ultraselective Embolization of Renal Artery in the Management of Acute Renal Traumatic Hemorrhage

2011
Objective To study the perioperative nursing experiences of super-selective renal artery embolization in the management of acute renal traumatic hemorrhage. Methods Retrospective analysis was used in 25 cases of blunt renal injury treated by super-selective renal artery embolization under digital subtraction angiography(DSA).After super-selective renal artery cathetorization, all cases were embolized by gelatin sponge or metal spring coil. Results The clinical symptoms all relieved after superselective renal arterial embolization. In 2 cases of shock, the blood pressure returned to normal in 1 to 2 hours. In all the patients, the urine turned clean in 3 to 24 hours. No severe complication occurred. Conclusion Detailed preoperative health education, active intraoperative cooperation and elaborative postoperative observation are very helpful to the prognosis of renal injury bleeding, and also can reduce the complication rate.
