Can the [Sigma][sup [minus]][ital nn] system be bound
1994
Motivated by the [Sigma]-hypernuclear states reported in ([ital K][sup [minus]],[pi][sup [plus minus]]) experiments, we have explored the possibility that there exists a particle-stable [Sigma][sup [minus]][ital nn] bound state. For the Juelich [ital [tilde A]] hyperon-nucleon, realistic-force model, our calculations yield little reason to expect a positive-parity bound state or resonance in either the [ital J]=1/2 or the [ital J]=3/2 channels.
