Mode-Locked Laser in Modeless Cavity

A passively mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser incorporates an intra-cavity electroopticphase modulator. Stable soliton mode-locking was achieved even when the phase modulatorwas driven with noise to render the cavity modeless.
