Frecuencia de trastornos alimentarios en estudiantes de la escuela de nutrición de la Universidad César Vallejo Lima este, 2017

2019
Eating disorders are common among adolescents and young people, especially in the female university population. The goal was to determine the frequency of eating disorders in a group of college students using a descriptive observational study. The population consisted of 232 students from the School of Nutrition of Cesar Vallejo University, Lima Este, from which a sample of 147 students was randomly selected. The instrument used was the Eating Attitudes Test (EAT-26) of Gandarillas (α= 0,879) Spanish version. The results showed that 15.6% had eating disorders, especially those between 21 and 25 years old (17.8%), males (19.6%), first-year students (33.3%) and workers (26.9%). Only a significant association was reported between the presence of eating disorders and the years of study (p<0.05). It was concluded that the frequency of eating disorders was similar to those reported in other studies.
