Case for diagnosis. Penile lesion in HIV-negative patient

2020
Abstract The authors present the case of a man with asymptomatic penile papules associated with a verrucous plaque in the interdigital region. A skin biopsy of the penile lesion was performed, which confirmed Kaposi sarcoma. No causes of acquired immunosuppression were observed. Kaposi sarcoma penile lesions are rare in HIV-negative individuals, and there are few cases of Kaposi sarcoma of the penis among patients without HIV infection reported in the literature. Kaposi sarcoma should be considered in the differential diagnosis of acquired penile vascular lesions in patients without known immunosuppression.
