Cigarette with filter

The present invention provides a cigarette with a filter, wherein the fixing of an extinguishing cylinder before smoking and during smoking is ensured, and a smoker can slide the extinguishing cylinder as far as a kindling portion of a tobacco rod easily, safely, and with one hand when smoking is finished. This cigarette (1) with a filter is provided with: a tobacco rod (2) formed by wrapping shredded tobacco (21) using a wrapping paper (22); a filter (4) that is connected to one end of the tobacco rod; an extinguishing cylinder (5) that is formed in a cylindrical shape using a flame retardant material and is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of the filter; and an adhesive paste (6) that is disposed between the outer peripheral surface of the filter and the inner peripheral surface of the extinguishing cylinder, fixes the extinguishing cylinder to the filter, and is easily breakable. The extinguishing cylinder is separated from the filter by crushing of the adhesive paste, which is caused by a crushing operation by the smoker, allowing the extinguishing cylinder to be slid in relation to the tobacco rod.
