EFEITO DA SALINIDADE SOB PARÂMETROS DE FLUORESCÊNCIA EM Phaseolus vulgaris EFFECT OF SALINITY UNDER FLUORESCENCE PARAMETERS IN Phasoelus vulgaris

This work aimed to identify the relationship between salinity and chlorophylls fluorescence parameters in two cultivates of beans: Expedito and Carioca. The plants were cultivated in pots with sand and Hoagland nutritious solution. Thirty days after germination, solutions of NaCl (0, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150 and 200 mmol L -1 ) were weekly applied. Fifteen days after NaCl application the plant material was sampled for analysis. The relationship FV/Fm, F0/Fm, qP, qN, NPQ and Φ2 was evaluated. The relationships Fv/Fm, Fo/Fm and Fv/Fo showed significant effect only for salt concentration, independent of cultivate. The cultivar Expedito showed the highest non photochemical coefficients qN and NPQ. This response could indicate that this cultivar presents a bigger dissipation of the luminous energy absorbed in the thermal energy form.
